About the event
The Gazela has loads of lines because she is a working tall ship. If you want to learn line handling, this is a great training class for you. Typically, you're working as a team, so bring your loud voice and communication skills to practice!
When we're sailing, we are constantly moving lines, rigging, and adjusting things so that we are on course. Line handling is an incredibly important part of that.
We will be setting sail for the Chesapeake this summer for six weeks, and would love to have you on board! Starting with an intro to the guild training class is the perfect way to get involved with our nonprofit organization. Afterwards, we welcome you to do some work on the ship, as she always needs it! It's a great way to learn some hard trade skills that will help you down the road.
