About the event
Required course to sail with us! Learn the basic potential emergencies that can occur at sea (Fire, Man Overboard, Abandon Ship), and gain a foundational knowledge of the proper procedures to address them.
We will be setting sail for the Chesapeake this summer for six weeks, and we need a trained crew! Starting with an Intro to the Guild session is the perfect way to get involved with our nonprofit organization. Afterwards, we welcome you to do some work on the ship to get us prepared for her multi-week voyage! It's a great way to learn some hard trade skills that will help you down the road.
We love having new people, so come one, come all! Wear closed-toed shoes and clothing you don't mind getting dirty.
