You’re invited to celebrate 125 years of Gazela Primeiro
Join the Philadelphia Ship Preservation Guild (PSPG, Guild) for a special afternoon aboard Gazela Primeiro as we celebrate 125 years of this remarkable historic tall ship built in Portugal in 1901.
Gather with current and former crew, supporters, family, and members of the wider Guild community to celebrate Gazela’s hardworking history and the generations of people whose time, skills, generosity, and care have sustained her.
Come early for optional ship tours from 3 – 4 PM, followed by a birthday reception from 4 – 6:30 PM. Enjoy a selection of light bites from Portuguese restaurant Tio Pepe, including cod bites, grilled chicken, Portuguese sausage, shrimp fried rice, and more. The afternoon will also include shipboard tales, crew reflections, well wishes, a cash bar, birthday cake, and a celebratory toast to Gazela at sunset.
