About the event

Required course to sail with us! Gain an understanding of the watch system - a regular rotation of crew shifts throughout the day in order to make sure all posts are manned at all times. Duties to be performed include look-out, boat check, and runner. Timeliness and understanding of reporting hierarchies ensure a safe and smooth voyage.

We will be setting sail for the Chesapeake this summer for six weeks, and we need a trained crew! Starting with an Intro to the Guild session is the perfect way to get involved with our nonprofit organization. Afterwards, we welcome you to do some work on the ship to get us prepared for her multi-week voyage! It's a great way to learn some hard trade skills that will help you down the road.

We love having new people, so come one, come all! Wear closed-toed shoes and clothing you don't mind getting…
